Holiday Decorations Not Needed
So... it's time to get creative and decorate for the holidays.
Now, I could get a tree, but my boys (Knuckles and Bugsy... cats) would have just too much fun stripping it of all the ornaments....
And I could put lights around my windows, but the boys (K and B, again) would have too much fun chewing through the cords (fun until they electrocuted themselves).
And I could bake cookies, but that would be bad for me (not the boys this time).
So I think I'll just put up this picture of the ornaments, go put the wreath on the door and call it a day.
Hope you have a bright and cheerful holiday season... with or without decorations.

May the joys of Christmas be your lights, the sweetness of loved ones replace your cookies and may your world be decorated with colorful friends.
That is a beautiful picture. Merry Christmas friend.
Good for you for keeping things simple !! Lovely image!
Great picture and I'm with you on the minimalist thing. Except I have to have a tree because I'm a druid and I have to put my dolly shrine up or they'll start shrieking their tiny heads off in their boxes and uh...but definitely no lights - just lots of candles - and as for food - well, we have to eat anyhow. Uh...simple, eh?
The music is the best part, anyway... and so easy...
You have a great holiday, too!
When I was young, my mother decorated the tree with bubble gum and candy canes.(Back then, those were cheap.) We got to choose one each day. And Santa always brought a coconut for our stockings.
My cat likes to sleep under the tree skirt and my 10 month old grand daughter tries to get the cat out. So far the tree hasn't toppled over.
