Rock the world with your writing

The business of the poet and novelist is to show the sorriness underlying the grandest things, and the grandeur underlying the sorriest things. ~~ Thomas Hardy
As writers, it's our job to avoid the mundane, and if we can't avoid the mundane, it's our job to transform the mundane into something interesting. It's not only our responsibility to look at our writing and determine how we can say it better, how we can make it clearer, and how we can reach the reader. It's also our responsibility to rock the world of the reader in some way large or small.

How do you ensure that you rock the reader's world?

That is the trick, isn't it... :) I try to give them the unexpected.

I try and make it real, so real they feel it, and hope my story is the unexpected part.

At least let’s hope so… great point.

Good question! It really is a point that we should consider and I think it perhaps gets lost in all the other things writers have to consider.

I try to keep it real... really me. That however is a double edged sword sometimes. But its always me, to do any less would be a disservice and a lie.
BTW.. if Oprah comes through with adopting me... I am TOTALLY going to get her to not only make your book, book of the month ...but book of the YEAR!
You Rock xo xo
